Imposter Who is a party game made by 407 Studio. It is built to be played in a room, not to collect data about you. This page explains what the app stores and what it does not.

No account, no sign up

The app has no accounts. You never give us your name, email address or phone number to play. Player names typed into a game are labels for the people in your room and stay on the device.

What stays on your device

Game settings, saved players, avatars and the session leaderboard are stored locally on your phone. They are never uploaded to us. Deleting the app deletes them.

The secret word stays in the room

Screenshots and screen recordings are blocked for as long as the app is open, and the app hides its own contents in the phone’s app switcher. That is a rule of the game rather than a privacy promise about your data, but it has the same effect: a card that was dealt to one person cannot be captured and passed on.

Purchases

Upgrades are processed by Apple’s App Store or Google Play. We receive a confirmation that a purchase happened so the app can unlock, and never your payment details. Purchases can be restored through the same store account.

Diagnostics

The app may collect anonymous crash reports and basic usage statistics so we can find and fix problems. These reports do not identify you and are never sold.

Children

The app is made for general audiences. One deck — Spicy — is marked for adults inside the game and sits behind the paid upgrade, so it is not somewhere a first table wanders into. Every other deck is written to be played in front of anyone.
